- Wear a buttoned up shirt or something with a low neck so it doesn't ruin your makeup and hair when getting changed.
- Come to the trial with clean skin (if you can, I know we do so many brides-to-be who have just come from work). As for your wedding day make sure you don't put on any sunscreen - as this can sometimes make your face appear white in photos, this is because of the flash that photographers use and it reflects the light. Try to use a moisturiser without sunscreen, if unsure don't use it.
- Bring Jewellery that you plan on wearing on your wedding day so we can pop them on to see how everything looks together.
- Get your Hair Trial done the same day of your makeup one, this way you will know exactly how you will look on the day.
- Be open with us on what you have in mind for hair/makeup. Bring a bunch of photos, go onto google, Pinterest, even Facebook and show us what you have in mind for your makeup/hair. As you would know there is a million ways to do a "smokey eye" or the "natural look".
- Let us know if you have any problems with your skin, this could be that you have quite dry skin, or the total opposite - oily. You should also let us know if you have any sensitivities, or get breakouts often, this way we can take all the measure we need to, to make sure we use the appropriate products.
- Once you've had your trials, you should take photos!! Heaps!! Highly recommend this as you can see how you will look like, even better hold up your wedding dress :)
- And lastly the number one thing I encourage brides-to-be is to be HONEST, if you don't like it then let us know, It's our job to bring out the best "YOU".
Now that the trial has been done and you have been honest with our makeup artists, its now time to look forward to your wedding day!!
The best time to have:
- Teeth whitened, 1 month prior
- Botox and Fillers, 1-2 months prior, sometimes longer
- Facials and waxing, wouldn't recommend any earlier then 2 weeks prior (waxing 1 week prior) as I have seen it irritate some of our brides skins.
- Spray tan, 2-3 days prior.
- Nails, roughly no later then the week prior.
Relax and try to enjoy every single moment, as the day will go super fast!!
